Territory Account Executive

Ethanol Promotion and Information Council

The Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC) is a nonprofit alliance of ethanol industry leaders who have come together to grow consumer demand for ethanol energy through targeted marketing. Our goal is to reach consumers and key influencers across the country and educate them on the performance and environmental benefits of using an ethanol-enriched fuel in their automobiles.

The position offered to the right candidate will include the following duties:
  • Calling on current EPIC Members within an assigned territory with a designated frequency
  • Conduct sales calls and presentations to decision makers with producing ethanol plants, ethanol plant projects and industry partners
  • Prospect for new members and industry partners
  • Become and remain knowledgeable about EPIC, ethanol industry, ethanol production, and industry related issues
  • Represent the association and the ethanol industry in media inquiries, interviews and promotional events
  • Travel within assigned territory of multiple states that will be centered around the Indiana or Illinois geographical area
  • Travel to conferences, industry activities and other sales/membership calls outside of your designated territory as needed
  • Prepare and submit reports, documentation and sales information as needed
  • Manage territory and association assets at your disposal (i.e. company car, laptop, cell phone, budget and sales materials)
  • Report directly to the Director of Industry Relations
  • Perform other activities that are needed in the function of the job

The right candidates will posses the following qualities

The Account Executive should demonstrate a unique blend of qualities and skills that reflect a passion and commitment to the EPIC mission, ideally the following:

  • Four year college degree
  • Strong commitment to setting and working towards goals
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work until the job is done
  • Understanding of the ethanol industry and/or agriculture in general
  • Strong background in leadership, speaking and working with decision makers
  • Good driving record
  • Proficient in the use of computers and MS Office software
  • Clear Criminal Background

Skilled desired, but not required

  • Ethanol and/or Agriculture industry experience
  • Successful sales record of awards, rankings and bonuses
  • Contacts within the Ethanol Industry
